The therapists working at ‘The House’ have all trained to a high (BACP/UKCP) standard at recognised and respected training establishments. They work through different therapy disciplines with a variety of specialised issues and age groups.

We are happy to discuss any concerns you might have and to introduce you to a suitable therapist.

Therapists & Counsellors

Judy Renihan

Over the years I have worked in schools, the mental health service and private practice.  I work through a variety of issues with individuals, couples and groups.

My work has enabled clients to realise positive change and a better understanding of themselves.

As managing director of ‘The House’, I have created a safe, confidential space for clients to feel comfortable and therapists to work in.

Alison Allart

I’m a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist/Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapist and Integrative Counsellor. My aim is to support and guide you to become your own therapist using effective modalities that are challenging but not overwhelming and that will help you to achieve rational and realistic goals. I follow the National Counselling Society ethical guidelines and codes of conduct and have experience of working with young people and adults.

Mark Poland

I’m a qualified psychotherapist and experienced practitioner who is supportive and non-judgemental. I practice in a confidential caring space and people tell me I am kind, approachable and genuine.

I believe that in the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity. I believe that people can change their destiny. My role in moments of difficulty is to provide support for you to discover your opportunities, and to create new narratives for your life.

Robin Shell

I have extensive experience working with children and families, initially in education, as a teacher and educational advisor.  I trained as a Child Therapist at The Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education.

I understand the learning and behavioral issues that children may need help with.  I work closely with parents (whilst maintaining the child’s confidence) so that they feel involved in the process of helping their child.

Sara Andrews

My approach is warm, collaborative and gently challenging and I offer a wide range of interventions, so that I can give you personalised therapeutic support. I work with Adults and Adolescents and have many years experience of working in schools and colleges. My specific areas of expertise are: working with anxiety, bereavement/loss and depression and helping young people manage complex family dynamics, exam stress and challenging situations.

Ann Foster

I provide a comfortable, respectful, non judgemental space where no concern is too small. Whether you are an individual, couple, adult or adolescent, I offer counselling and psychotherapy where you can share the concerns you are facing and work towards an improved sense of wellbeing. I work from ‘The House’ in Seaford and also provide counselling and psychotherapy to local secondary schools. I also have previous experience in the veterinary and educational sectors.

Melanie Green

I’m an experienced Humanistic Counsellor working with both adults and young people. I’m caring, sensitive and perceptive, and here to listen to and support you. You may be in an uncomfortable situation at the moment, struggling with difficulites in your life which you cannot share with family or friends. Counselling will allow you to speak confidentially about your thoughts and emotions without feeling judged, or worrying you may upset someone close.

Emily Heseltine

I believe in the healing potential of a trusting relationship, and my warm, empathic approach allows me to offer a safe and supportive space for you to explore your concerns and make sense of your experiences. I work with young people and adults who seek support for reasons such as anxiety, stress, low mood, bereavement, loss and work related issues. My experience has shown that with the right support people can thrive as opposed to just survive.

Tony Vieitez

Whatever difficulties you are facing at the moment, I will work with you to help you move beyond them. I am a qualified Humanistic Psychotherapist and have worked with people experiencing a diverse and complex set of problems, including anxiety, anger, low self-esteem, stress and low mood. My approach is friendly, gentle and supportive and my aim is to make therapy a life enhancing experience for you.
